The 2013 TD Canadian Children’s Literature Awards galas in October were a fantastic celebration of Canadian writing for children and young people. TD and the Canadian Children’s Book Centre did a terrific job making everyone – authors, illustrators, publishers, librarians, jury members and special guests – feel welcome. For this nominated author, seeing the cover of Yesterday’s Dead up on the big screen and hearing the jury’s comments read to the audience was especially thrilling.
